SHOWNOTES:
Kelsey reflects on her season of gratitude following the trials and tribulations of New Year's resolutions and the busyness of life. In this journey she shares a story about second-grade Kelsey who felt unconditional love and how she wants to give this to her kids, husband and clients.
What we’re talking about…
Kelsey talks on her big gratitude kick after a season that can level you feeling like you didn’t accomplish enough
How she’s working to retrain her brain to be more grateful for everything she is doing and all she has accomplished
Why this skill lets her live in a world where she has time for all the things she loves in life
A moment of appreciation for the community her business and this shows gives her
While trying to get her creative juices flowing, she searched some writing prompts and was asked to tell a story from when you were a kid in school
Of all the little moments and stories that came back, she reflected on one that shaped her into who she is and wants to be today
She then paints this picture:
Who second-grade Kelsey was (not a teacher’s dream)
Why she lost her privilege to participate in ribbon day with the rest of her class
Her agonizing as she had to sit her the classroom by herself attempting to finish an assignment while all her classmates were having fun
Her teacher’s warmth in saying she was proud of her for trying
How this moment showed Kelsey unconditional love
How she wants to use the love in this story and give it to her kids, her husband and clients
Because Kelsey can so closely relate to the highs and lows of building a business, she wants to serve as that rock of unconditional love as others go through this
Remember: you are doing a great job, stay in the game
